A Message From Our New President and CEO, Adam Hauser
April 2, 2017
It is with deep gratitude, respect and enthusiasm that I assume the position of President and CEO of Meals on Wheels Central Texas.
This wonderful non-profit has played a vital role in my life for the past 30 years. I began delivering meals in 1988 and I immediately experienced firsthand the nourishing, positive impact Meals on Wheels has on the lives of the homebound people we serve. I still deliver meals to this day, and I eventually joined MOWCTX’s Board of Directors and was even part of the team that hired the outstanding leader I succeed, Dan Pruett.
In the three decades I have been involved with MOWCTX, it has dramatically increased not only the number of clients it serves but also the types of services it offers, and now Central Texas has one of the fastest growing senior populations in the country. The demand for our life-sustaining services will only continue to grow over the next several years and with the help of our dedicated volunteers and our generous donors, our agency is well-positioned to meet that need. MOWCTX is committed to ensuring a holistic continuum of services for older adults and will continue to offer a wide range of high-quality services and, at the same time, will seek new programs and innovative ways to help the people we serve live independently and with dignity.
I am very excited to join the MOWCTX team and look forward to learning from and working with MOWCTX’s hard-working staff and its incredible volunteers, donors and partners. They all play a vital role in our efforts to help our most vulnerable neighbors.
I love this organization, its people and its mission - and I’m deeply humbled and honored to serve as its next leader.
With gratitude,
Adam Hauser
