March for Meals Recap

April 4, 2019

Every spring, Meals on Wheels organizations across the country celebrate “March for Meals”, a nationwide, month-long celebration of the Meals on Wheels mission to nourish and enrich the lives of older adults.

This year, several familiar faces helped us promote “March for Meals” by joining Adam Hauser, MOWCTX President/CEO, in delivering nutritious meals and friendly safety-checks to some of the homebound older Central Texans we are honored to serve.

Among those who participated were a U.S. Congressman, a member of the Texas House of Representatives, a Travis County Commissioner, three Austin City Council members, the Executive Commissioner for the Texas Health and Human Services system, and several local social media influencers.

We deeply appreciate everyone who participated in “March for Meals”!
