Meals on Wheels Central Texas Suspends Meal Delivery for Tuesday, January 16th 

January 15, 2024

Austin, TX.- Out of an abundance of caution, Meals on Wheels Central Texas (MOWCTX) is suspending both kitchen operations and meal deliveries to our neighbors (MOWCTX’s name for our clients) on Tuesday, January 16th to help ensure the safety of our volunteers and staff as well as in response to the ERCOT request for businesses and residents to conserve energy. 

MOWCTX encourages our neighbors in need of a meal on Tuesday, January 16th to consume one of the shelf-stable meals delivered at the end of November and early December, expressly for emergency weather conditions. 

Meals on Wheels Central Texas intends to resume normal meal delivery services on Wednesday, January 17th as long as it is safe to do so but please follow our social media channels for additional updates if any are needed.
