Meet Our Community Champion: Bill Wallace

May 1, 2025
Bill Wallace is a proud Austin native, community organizer, and youth advocate. He is the founder and Executive Director of Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation. Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation supports youth and families impacted by systems through mentorship, advocacy, and community-based programs.
As a community organizer, Bill is involved with several local organizations. He is the Capacity Building Manager at the Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO). He also co-founded the Travis County Youth Justice Network alongside Judge Brandy Mueller.
Bill shares that as a formerly incarcerated Black man, he uses his lived experience to inform his work and to push for policies and opportunities that promote equity.
In 2023, Bill was invited to the White House by President Joe Biden for his demonstration of leadership and service. Bill is passionate about building strong, connected communities where youth have the tools and resources necessary to thrive.
At Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation, families are met where they are. Through mentorship, support groups, and culturally responsive programs, the organization supports and uplifts youth and their families.
As a community leader, Bill works alongside grassroots partners, local officials, and other stakeholders to elevate community voices and collaborate on solutions. Through his platform, online and in person through direct service and community engagement, he remains deeply connected to the needs of his community.
Bill shares that as a Community Champion, he can connect with older adults and individuals living with disabilities. In building these connections, he has better insight into the challenges they experience and the continuum of care they rely on to remain independent.
“It has allowed me to witness, firsthand, how a simple and consistent act of service can combat isolation and preserve dignity for our most vulnerable neighbors,” says Bill. He adds, “Being part of something so impactful and humanizing further fueled my commitment to showing up for those who are often overlooked.”
Thank you, Bill, for your commitment to empowering our community from youth into older adulthood. Want to connect with Bill? Learn more about Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation on Facebook and Instagram (@tomorrowspromisefoundation).
