Saluting Our Veterans: Cultivating a Community of Support with TMF Quality Institute
Did you know that Texas is home to the largest population of veterans in the country? Locally, an estimated 56,000 service members and women call Travis County their home. On November 11th, we take a moment to honor these individuals who have bravely served our nation, ensuring our safety both at home and abroad.
At Meals on Wheels Central Texas, we strive to be a resource for veterans at home. Through programs like our signature Home Delivered Meals and Home Repair services, we aim to create a strong community of support. We are grateful to work alongside partners and collaborators who share our commitment.
Our friends at TMF Health Quality Institute are contributing their time and resources to salute local veterans receiving support through our Home Repair Program. Thanks to their partnership, nearly 5,000 neighbors will enjoy hearty meals that warm the soul, while local heroes will receive home modifications and repairs to keep them safe, comfortable, and secure in their homes for years to come.
