FlexRadio is a local developer and manufacturer of HF (high frequency) Radio solutions for consumer, commercial and government markets. Having served the HF amateur radio community for more than 17 years, FlexRadio found themselves wanting to give back to their community during the COVID pandemic. With a customer base primarily composed of individuals aged 55 and up, FlexRadio looked for a charitable organization that served a similar demographic and, in their search, found Meals on Wheels of Central Texas to be a perfect fit.
During the month of May, FlexRadio ran a sales promotion where-in a percentage of all radio sales were donated to Meals on Wheels Central Texas in support of the organizations growing needs during the pandemic. In addition, outreach was provided to encourage individuals and employees to donate on their own. Not only did this campaign raise $11,000 for MOWCTX, but it raised awareness with the Central Texas amateur community and employees of the benefits of MOWCTX programs to our senior and homebound communities.
