Welcoming Our Community Champion: Enrique Serrano III

July 11, 2025
Enrique Serrano III is the City of Austin’s Equity and Inclusion Division Civil Rights Officer. He formerly served as the division’s Equal Employment and Fair Housing Manager. His work strives to advance fair housing within the city and promote equitable employment practices.
Enrique and his colleagues, Dr. Lindsey Wilson and Shafina Khaki, visited Meals on Wheels this week. The team toured our offices and Central Kitchen for a behind the scenes look at meal preparation.
As a new Community Champion, Enrique will help raise awareness of the needs of homebound Central Texans and advocate for the services they depend on to remain independent.
