Alternative Gift Market
Meals on Wheels Central Texas will be a nonprofit beneficiary of the Saint John’s United Methodist Church Alternative Gift Market scheduled for December 7-8 at the church, 2140 Allandale Road. During the Market, attendees contribute to their chosen organization and receive a gift card with information on the benefiting organization to present to their chosen friend or family member.
In addition, the Market is a perfect way to get away from the commercialization of the Christmas season and shop for gifts from local artisans and international fair trade vendors. There will be a bake shop, and the Market’s frozen food options including their famous Select Apple Pies and frozen casseroles will be available for holiday meals.
We hope you will support Meals on Wheels Central Texas by attending this fun holiday event. Market hours are 9 am-3 pm Saturday, December 7; noon-3 pm Sunday, December 8.

See the Impact of Our Work
We have many open volunteer shifts all over the Austin area.
I Need a Sub for My Route
Substitute Drivers are responsible for delivering meals to homebound clients as a back-up driver when the regular volunteer meal delivery driver is unable to take the route. Much like a substitute teacher, the substitute driver does not have a permanent weekly route, but is called as needed.
