Love Letters
Brush Lettering & DIY cards
Each year, Austin School of Film hosts a special Valentine's Day cardmaking event, Love Letters, to benefit the clients of Meals on Wheels Central Texas.
This year, Love Letters is back with a twist! In this virtual workshop, participants will receive an art box curated and provided by Austin School of Film to coincide with a brush lettering and card making workshop with Paulina Fricke-Fox! Over the course of one afternoon, participants of all ages will come together to explore the art of brush lettering techniques and card making during a live workshop with Paulina Fricke-Fox.
Each art box includes: 10 envelopes, 2 gel pens, 3 drill pages, Tombow Fudenosuke Soft Brush Pen, tracing paper, Laserjet Printer Paper, smooth cardstock, scissors, glue stick, a custom limited edition pencil and more.
Most importantly, your box will contain a pre-paid postage envelope to mail cards created by you of your choice directly to Meals on Wheels Central Texas. All mailed-in handmade Valentine’s Day cards will go out with meals via Meals on Wheels throughout the month of February.

We have many open volunteer shifts all over the Austin area.
I Need a Sub for My Route
Substitute Drivers are responsible for delivering meals to homebound clients as a back-up driver when the regular volunteer meal delivery driver is unable to take the route. Much like a substitute teacher, the substitute driver does not have a permanent weekly route, but is called as needed.
