Say Thanks, Austin
Flo Macklin was one of our original volunteers when we opened our doors in 1972 and has delivered meals for us for the next 42 years. Flo is one of 9 Central Texans nominated for “Say Thanks, Austin”, an annual event that recognizes people who contribute their time and talents toward exemplary acts of good. The participant with the most votes receives a pay-it-forward donation of $10,000 to the nonprofit organization of his/her choice.
You can help MOWCTX by voting for Flo now - January 30. You have different ways to cast your ballot AND you can use any or all of them once a day during the campaign:
- Click Flo’s Name on the “Vote Say Thanks, Austin” link on RecognizeGood.org

I Need a Sub for My Route
Substitute Drivers are responsible for delivering meals to homebound clients as a back-up driver when the regular volunteer meal delivery driver is unable to take the route. Much like a substitute teacher, the substitute driver does not have a permanent weekly route, but is called as needed.
