volunteer to deliver shelf-stable food bags in central texas
HOPE (Healthy Options Program for the Elderly) is a collaboration between MOWCTX and the Central Texas Food Bank. HOPE volunteers deliver bags of shelf-stable food items to neighbors needing additional nutrition support.
You can volunteer with HOPE in the following ways:

Deliver bags of shelf-stable food items each Second Saturday of the month

Volunteer as a group (10-12 volunteers) to assemble HOPE bags (3 – 4 hour time commitment)
Volunteer eligibility requirements
Before your volunteer with HOPE, you must meet the following Volunteer Eligibility Requirements:

Complete a Volunteer Application

Have a current Driver’s License, valid inspection sticker, and proof of insurance

Attend a Volunteer Orientation

Pass Criminal Background Check
-
Be willing to drive to various parts of Austin for grocery delivery
