Theresa Medlin Crawford
VICE PRESIDENT FOR meal programs, operations, and logistics
Theresa Medlin Crawford joined Meals on Wheels Central Texas in 2004. She has over two decades of experience in social services developing and coordinating programs and strategies, and managing staff, volunteers, and operations. Theresa completed her undergraduate work in Psychology at Louisiana State University-Shreveport and her graduate program in Human Ecology, Child Development, and Family Studies at Louisiana Tech University.
Before moving to Austin, she worked in Community Case Management and extensively in the Child Abuse Prevention arena, serving as the North Regional Director for Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana over a 21-parish territory. Currently, Theresa leads four departments and has 80-staff members, which include the Neighbor Support, Volunteer, Distribution, and Congregate Services Teams at MOWCTX. She is responsible for overseeing the onboarding and support of 2500+ neighbors annually, the management and engagement of 3,000+ volunteers and teams, the supervision and administration of 18 Congregate Centers, and the strategic guidance of the daily meal distribution operations and logistics for the following Meal Programs: Meals on Wheels, Country Wheels, Rural and City Senior Center Meals, Factor Health Meals and Second Meals serving over 3000 older adults and individuals with disabilities across seven counties; Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell, Lee, Fayette, and Hays.
Theresa participates in local Greater Austin Chambers of Commerce, Volunteer and Management Leader Groups, the National Association of Professional Women, Who’s Who among Executives and Professionals, Prevent Child Abuse America, Louisiana and Texas affiliates, and Zeta Tau Alpha Alumni. She has been profiled as a Forefront Austin Leader and recognized as an outstanding Woman of the Century in the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce for her exceptional works and contributions to her community.
