Get to Know Us Thursdays: Home Repair
Join us for "Get to Know Us Thursdays", a weekly virtual chat with Meals on Wheels Central Texas program and department managers! Each week, we will be highlighting a different program or department. Meet our staff, learn about our current operations and those we serve, and have the chance to ask any questions you have. This week we will be chatting with Charles Cloutman, Vice President for Home Repair.
About HOME REPAIR
Through our Home Repair program, we provide major home safety repairs and accessibility modifications for eligible seniors. Our home repair model is holistic home repair rather than a patch job. That’s because the home repair program started as a result of our core mission to enable our clients to age in place. One can’t age in place when their home has barriers that make it impossible to live there. This program is currently serving the following counties: Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Burnet, Blanco and Fayette.

I Need a Sub for My Route
Substitute Drivers are responsible for delivering meals to homebound clients as a back-up driver when the regular volunteer meal delivery driver is unable to take the route. Much like a substitute teacher, the substitute driver does not have a permanent weekly route, but is called as needed.
